Latest reviews of ec Shamisen app for iPhone and iPad

no music to my ears
too bad this does not work at all. I tried re-installing etc. I hope they can get the bugs worked out as it seems like a cool idea.
very bad response
timing is wrong and partially working
disappointment...
Okay so I was really excited to download this app because I am a huge fan of shamisen. BUT, this app is such a disappointment because basically everything is messed up. Even when you press down a string, it doesnt change the tone at times. There is so little space between strings (I know shamisen is supposed to be like that but its hard when you are actually not feeling the string on your fingertips) so its really hard to hit the right one string.
Sounds ok...
Im with sbarro 100%. But what really is noticable is how the recorded sounds dont fade correctly. Some notes are a short sticcato, while others are as they should be. And its not musically accurate in the way that the notes arent marked for sliding. The shamisen should feature this note to note capability. To make this more authentic i would recomend recording not a harmonic scale, but a scale of pitch including perhaps eight of the tones found between F# and G# for example. Other than that, this app works pretty well and has tons of room for improvement.
Lovely Relaxing Sound
I think the sound is amazing, especially with headphones. One of my favorite ways to relax is to kick back with this app. in a comfy chair. The sound is very soothing. I do wish, however, that I could record and play back my music.
